Hopefully, this helps you better understand the possible cost of painting your home. Because it's unseen, it's impossible to give an accurate bid 100% of the time, but typically the estimator gets pretty accurate.
This online estimate includes and assumes the following:
We've included time to mask the grounds, fill some nail holes, repair a few small hairline cracks, lightly sand, clean, and spot prime repaired areas. Our prep work will be consistent with the PDCA Level 2 Trade Standards. Your estimate can go up or down depending on the desired prep level. Large holes, cracks, re-texturing, wood repair or replacement, water damage, removal of peeling paint, or a full coat of primer (if needed) will cost extra and can be discussed with your onsite painting consultant. Note: Additional costs may be required if your home was built before 1978 due to lead-safe practices required.
We assume all the surfaces you've selected will cover in 1 or 2 coats of paint. Your estimate can go up or down depending on the new colors you choose. Additional layers of paint may add to your estimate if required for proper coverage.
We understand that there may be other areas or surfaces; you don't see a place to select them on our Online Estimator. For example, Painting surfaces like perimeter fences, gates, metal awnings, metal stair rails, gazebos, floors, vinyl windows, and wood staining, wood, and wrought iron repairs or replacement are just some of the types of things you won't find. Don't worry; we can still help you. Just give us a call or send us pictures.
If your home or condo is over 4600 square feet, we simply can't use this estimator to create pricing online without visually seeing the property accurately.
